About the Event

2013 sees the return of the ACUMEN Commercial Property Awards, a prestigious awards ceremony celebrating the different facets of commercial space in Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area which will take place on Wednesday 4th December at the Grand Hotel, Brighton.

The Awards are the only ceremony to recognise and reward innovation and exemplary practice in the design, build and refurbishment of commercial buildings in our area and offer the experts in those professions associated with the development of new commercial spaces a fantastic opportunity to meet and celebrate their achievements.

The Award Categories

The five Award categories are:

  • Best Development

    Proposed, in progress, or completed (within the previous 12 months) mixed-use or commercial buildings.

  • Sustainable Workspace

    Proposed, newly built or recently improved (within the previous 12 months) mixed-use or commercial buildings.

  • Best Refurbishment

    Proposed, in progress, or completed (within the previous 12 months) refurbishment to a mixed-use or commercial building showing sensitivity to design and heritage.

  • Most Innovative Office Space

    With regard to design, usability, use of technology and staff enjoyment from completed (within the previous 3 years) commercial spaces.

  • Building of the Future

    Proposed mixed-use or commercial buildings which should not be a project submitted to planning. This award is designed to give budding architects/ developers the chance to really spread their wings and showcase their talent and ideas to leading figures in the industry.

We are delighted to have secured a judging panel for each category which includes internationally renowned academics in buildings and innovation, town planners and leading environmental architects.
