Employment Law Frustration!

ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW's UNITED IN EMPLOYEMENT campaign held its First Debate which proved a very successful evening. Employers and Employees gathered to passionately debate and question guest speakers, Matt Penfold from ACAS (Advisory and Conciliation service)and Phill Wood from Unison who represent over 1.3 million public service employees.

It is known all-too-well that legislation is sometimes passed rather hastily and often does nothing but prevent productivity. The Government have called on people to put forward legislation that they think do exactly that, prevent productivity by placing unnecessary obstacles.

This is even more so with Employment Law. ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW witnesses firsthand the great frustration experienced by our clients and as a result have set up the UNITED IN EMPLOYMENT campaign. This gives both employers and employees an opportunity to express their frustrations and recommend legislation that they think unnecessarily slows down their business development and should be repealed. Since our first debate, The Equality Act 2010 which came into force on 1st October 2010, has caused much public discussion and is often misconstrued, providing an extra platform for debate.

ACUMEN BUSINESS LAW are now organizing their second debate, if you would like to get involved in the campaign and join in on the debate please call 08458 678978 or alternatively email Ibrahim.mikhail@acumenbusinesslaw.co.uk
